Pucketts Lake

Pucketts Lake, also known as Cheniere Lake, is a large water body located just a few miles west of Monroe in Northern Louisiana.

Just a few minutes from schools, restaurants, shops, St. Frances Hospital, and Monroe Regional Airport, this location is perfect for a family. The lake is less than 150 miles from the Jackson International Airport and other attractions of the city.

Natural Landscapes

The tree-covered waters of Pucketts Lake cover approximately 3,150 acres. The natural environment is home to a variety of wildlife and offers scenic views year-round.

Cheniere Lake Park, located on the north end of the lake, is excellent lake access or on-shore fishing location. Pucketts Lake is a fantastic bass, bream, and crappie fishery.

Lazarre Park Boat Ramp provides easy access to the Ouachita River, a recreational hot spot for boating and fishing. Kayaks, canoes, and fishing boats travel the waters. Anglers reel in smallmouth bass, trout, and other Louisiana sport fish.

D’Arbonne National Wildlife Refuge, Ouachita Wildlife Management Area, and Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge are surrounding nature areas that feature hiking trails, wildlife sightings, etc.

Monroe Attractions

Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo is a fantastic outing for the family, and you can expect sights of tigers, monkeys, kangaroos, zebras, flamingos, and other exotic animals.

The Duck Commander Warehouse owned by the well-known Robertson family of “Duck Dynasty” is also located in Monroe.
